Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy (AYT) program is to integrate the sister sciences of yoga and ayurveda that will provide a holistic approach to the mind, body, and spirit.  This program is designed in alignment with the definition and understanding of Yoga Therapy adopted by IAYT, “Yoga Therapy is the professional application of the principles and practices of yoga to promote health and well-being within a therapeutic relationship which includes personalized assessment, goal setting, lifestyle management, and yoga practices for individuals or small groups” (IAYT, 2020).

This training program is different from advanced teacher training because it is specifically designed to teach students to work one-on-one through the assessment of individuals through the Ayurvedic lens and the application of yoga therapeutic techniques for specific conditions. The training provides in-depth study and exploration on a range of conditions, pathology, and disease and symptom management. Emphasis is on the practicum and mentorship portion of the curriculum which allows students diverse opportunities to apply their knowledge and skills in designing therapeutic practices for both individuals and groups.
